Fridayyyyyeeee… (and the livin’ is eeeeasyyy)
It’s video time!
Google Maps: Hyperlapse Around the World
This impressive animation of Google Maps and Google Streetview visuals is a little jarring but super fun to watch.
A “pendulus” with a light pen on top of a light-sensitive surface for 1 hour = beautiful self-generated art.
The video is indeed 1 hour in length but you can jump ahead and see the progression of the work. Very cool.
Hey btw if you enjoy longer videos with a repetitive, passive style, you may enjoy this beach video as well. (Somewhat different / similar…)
This is a 2 minute video of what is known as a “red fanworm” opening up in real time.
The music (Orff’s Carmina Burana, of course) makes it sound like impending doom. Beautiful and ancient.
Bonobo- No Reason (ft. Nick Murphy)
“a film about staying indoors. all visual effects achieved entirely in-camera… a very small camera… and a very big set.”
From apparently-gifted director Oscar Hudson.
I love this band, and I love this video.
Wind Games 2017 freestyle Maja Kuczynska final Exceptional
It’s 2017 so we apparently have a new sport called “Wind games”.
I like it! This is an impressive run.
And there you go! All video’d away.
See you in a week, Friday Video fans…
