And now we’re into the spookier part of October.
Expert impressionist Jim Meskimen reels through several of his best impressions (De Niro, Walken, etc.) and, thanks to a developer named Shamook, his face transforms into each of those people’s faces.
The effect is so subtle. Really well done.
A mashup of Slipknot, Spice Girls and The Black Crowes created by Bill McClintock, who says “Sorry for this.”
“Arranging and rearranging a magazine’s layout before it goes to press is all done on computers now. But in the years before desktop publishing software, the work of cutting and pasting required a sharp scalpel, a parallel-motion board and plenty of glue.”
And that’s how all print setup was done from the 40s to the 90s. So complicated!
“You’ve never seen a moving day like this. A 4,000-square-foot house was transported upriver on a barge.”
Pretty amazing what people can do.
And there we go! Video’d up!
See you next week everybody!
