Happy Friday!

Welcome to the Hallowe’en edition of the Friday Videos!

Let’s get started…

Banjo Guy Ollie: Silent Hill – Opening Theme cover

This guy covers horror movie themes, but using traditional bluegrass instrumentation.

Kind of weird. Happy Hallowe’en!

This Prop Master’s Work Is Hidden in Plain Sight

“From handwritten letters to driver’s licenses, each piece is custom made and thoughtfully imbued with backstory.”

What a fascinating, specific form of prop making.

The Birch

“He who breaks me shall come undone…”

A very short horror film to start your Hallowe’en right.

Created by Crypt TV who have several more, if that’s your thing.

Max Cooper – Platonic

“The idea for the Platonic video came from the thought of just how much is going on in one single day.”

Beautifully shot, and cleverly executed.

Bonus Video!

Harriet the Singing Donkey ‘Serenades’ Passerby

She sounds a little bit like a theramin!

There we go! Ready for Hallowe’en now.

Stay safe out there, and see you next week.

Welcome back to Friday everybody!

We made it. Good job!

Video time!

Chinese Tea Art – AUBO i5 Dual-Arm Robot

This industrial robot carefully brews and prepares tea in a traditional Chinese way.

It’s mesmerizing to watch.

Racoon Demonstrates Problem Solving Skills | Earth Unplugged

“Racoons are as clever as monkeys… so what puzzles can Rascal tha racoon solve to get to a tasty treat?”

From BBC Earth.

Speaking as a resident of a raccoon-infested city, these are definitely very clever, self-sufficient animals.

Kraftwerk – Roboter – Lemmchen Grundschule

Translation: Kraftwerk’s 1979 single “We Are The Robots” (“Die Roboter”) performed by students of the primary school in Lemmchen, Germany

(Original for comparison…)

Adorbs!

McBain (The Full Movie, High Quality)

The full McBain movie hidden in The Simpsons in high quality.

The original, at definitely lower resolution, can be found here.

British Chef Creates Amazing ‘Unappetizing’ Desserts

Cigarette butts (made of fondant) in an ashtray (containing cocoa “ashes”), a soapy sponge (made of cake), a mouldy orange (which is actually orange parfait with meringue dust.)

The chef is Ben Churchill (aka “The Food Illusionist”) and he’s quite talented.

More info here.

Have a lovely Friday and a fantastic – hopefully warm – weekend.

Happy Friday!

It’s video time again!

Let’s Play – Super Mario Bros. LIVE w/FULL ORCHESTRA! (ep.1)

“The entire first two worlds of gameplay from Super Mario Bros. for the NES with music accompanied LIVE by a full sized jazz big band, orchestra, and choir!”

Fantastic!

Pickle Rick Outtakes | Rick and Morty | Adult Swim

“Enjoy this extended clip of Justin Roiland struggling to keep it together.”

The fact that they had all these outtakes and then *animated* them is kind of why I love this show so much.

A Day in Pompeii – Full-length animation

Created by ZeroOne Animation in Melbourne, Australia.

Very well done.

Lego Breakfast Machine

It’s not quick, and it’s not extremely precise, but what a great little project.

And that’s what I’ve got for you this week.

Have a happy Friday, and a lovely weekend.

RIGHT?

And now it’s Video time!

2018 Small World In Motion Competition

2018 Small World In Motion Competition

[self explanatory]

Some really beautiful, incredible imagery here.

Bohemian Rhapsody In Blue

A pretty great piano mashup of the seminal Queen single, and the Gershwin tune.

Posted on the Postmodern Jukebox channel. The pianist is Scott Bradlee. Really well done.

Commodore 64 left outside for over a decade! Could it still work??

“I was given a Commodore 64C that had been left outside for a decade or more in rural Oregon. It dealt with everything mother nature could throw at it while it sat outside. Could this machine possibly still work?”

I won’t spoil it for you. It’s pretty nerdy of course.

Sent in by Matt L.

Eminem as a Talking Heads song

The melody and clipped vocal delivery really sell this one.

Bonus Video!

Yikes… This Guy Showed Up To A Karaoke Bar To Sing ‘Tequila’

[self explanatory]

It looks like part of a Ted talk maybe?

And that’s what I’ve got this October Friday.

Have a lovely (long) weekend everybody!
