Here we are: the last Friday of 2017.

And we’re still alive, and in one piece. Right?

And! There are these videos.

‘Rick And Morty’ Theme Song as Jazz Piano – Scott Bradlee

[self explanatory]

Initially: Ragtime. Not what I expected!

A great interpretation.

No Other Way To Say It

A “short comedy about a voiceover actor trying to nail the right tone for a pair of indecisive ad creatives selling a fictitious children’s ice cream brand. Or is it a short tragedy about a pair of ad creatives trying to coax the right tone out of a distracted voiceover actor?”

I’ve worked on these kind of ad sessions. While this is funny, it is also very, very true.

It reminds me of this clip from WKRP.

70 People from 70 Countries Imitate Americans

[self explanatory]

“The most predominant impression is of the American Valley Girl accent. The American men accent resembled a surfer bro.”

This is amazing.

Mayorkun – Mama | Reis Fernando Choreography (Dance video)

So good!

How Does Santa Use Big Data?

“Lisa Singh, professor of Computer Science, discusses how Santa and super computer Watson can determine what someone wants for Christmas.”

Pretty great. A very 2017 video. 🙂

And there we go! Videos! For your final Friday of 2017.

Have a happy New Year everybody!

See you all in seven days.

It’s the Friday before Xmas and allll through the house…

Videos! At least for the next little while.

Here we go.

DJ Cummerbund – I Will Jump

“Hey this is something I made for Christmas.”

Gloria Gaynor + Van Halen / some pitch corrections = ?!?!!?

You’re welcome. 🙂

Dear Satan

A spelling mistake sends a child’s letter to Santa to uh… the wrong recipient.

Note: slightly nsfw language, which is a shame since it could be a great children’s video otherwise.

Narrated by Sir Patrick Stewart. Lovely.

STAR WARS 4.7: Skywalker vs Starkiller. Movie Mashup.

A great piece of editing.

Hurry before the lawyers, etc.

Amazon shopping list on Alexa, by Petra the African Grey. Who really just wants a peanut

Long-winded title aside, this is among the dangers of having a smart device in your home that’s connected to a shopping site by default. 🙂

There are other videos of Petra playing with Amazon Echo. Like this one.

Bonus Video!

Cycling : LEGO Technic

Created by YouTuber and Lego Technic master Yoshihito Isogawa

He has several other such whimsical lego creations.

Also I don’t know if any of you have seen any of the Actors on Actors videos posted by Variety, but there are several really good interviews there. I recommend this one, for starters. They’re engrossing and fascinating.

Recommended for sure.

And that’s that: Friday Videos.

Have a great, great holiday everybody. See you in seven days.

Hello Friday Video folks.

Are you ready? All strapped in?

Here we go…

DJ Earworm Mashup – United State of Pop 2017 (How We Do It)

He’s baaaaaack.

Star Wars Theme covered by calculators

[self explanatory, sort of.]

This definitely took some prep.

Dinner With A Murderer

“A short film about three dimwitted friends who reunite with a murderer they grew up with.”

A really well produced, witty short film.

Sent in by Jessica R. (and making the rounds.)

GoPro Awards: Seagull Theft – With Telemetry in 4K

“On the coast of Norway, Kjell Robertsen uses some bread to get some GoPro close-ups of seagulls. Over 5 months later he found his camera so we can all see what happens when you accidentally make a seagull drone.”

Fantastic!

There have been many of these “camera thief” wildlife videos but never with this kind of data analytics overlaid on it.

So good!

Bonus Video!

How to Hijack Amazon Prime Now for Good

YouTuber Rob Bliss decided to use Amazon Prime to deliver goods to homeless people. This is a heartwarming video. I love it.

There you go! Now you’re all set for your Friday Night.

Have a great Friday everybody!

You guessed it: It’s Friday!

And time for videos!

Here goes…

2017 Movie Trailer Mashup

This mashup uses clips from many, many films (231 in fact.)

Really well done.

9year old girl stops and dances w/ street performer

[self explanatory]

I’m pretty late to this party (and this video has over 10 million views) but this is everything.

75 Movie Bands Cover “Pour Some Sugar On Me” by Def Leppard

A pretty clever piece of editing here.

Sent in by Alison L.

The 25 Best Films Of 2017: A Video Countdown

Presented by David Ehrlich at IndieWire.

Bonus Video!

FITNESS Z0NE

From creator Jack Sachs

It’s… a little odd. I love it.

And there you have it: Videos. On a Friday. Friday Videos!!

See you all in seven days.

snowtime

“microscopic timelapse”

This captures the formation of snow crystals.

2 wingsuit flyers BASE jump into a plane in mid-air. | A Door In The Sky

It’s making the rounds but honestly I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. Such a crazy stunt.

Hey speaking of planes:

Inside The World’s Only Private Boeing 787 Dreamliner!

Ridiculous.

Much more information here.

Jeffpardy!

hehehe…

These ‘Reverspective’ paintings are mind-boggling

“London-based artist Patrick Hughes creates incredible paintings which look 3D.

“The paintings are made from big sheets of wood that are sawn into trapeze or pyramid shapes.”

It’s difficult to grasp what’s going on here from the video. In person it might be more obvious. It messes with my brain even though I know what’s going on. Pretty clever device.

And that’s what I got!

Have a lovely Friday everybody!

See you next week!
