January 20th, 2017

Welcome to Friday! It’s the second-last Friday in January. 🙂

That was fast.

Here we go…

Life accordion to Donald Trump

uh… okay!

At least it’s funny. (Today of all days.)

Object Masking – The Wolf of Wall Street

“A program removing everything but the objects it recognises when watching the trailer for The Wolf of Wall Street”

This is, effectively, a computer “watching” a movie trailer, and identifying what it sees.

The future is here!

Max Cooper/Tom Hodge – Fragments of Self

“This track and video are about emergence from the combination of polar opposites. Fragments of self from very different places, but part of the same whole. Soft vs jagged, quiet vs loud, beautiful vs horrible, smooth vs abrasive, natural vs unnatural….you get the idea.”

This is part of a larger art collection named “Emergence” from these two visual artists. All of them are great. This is just my favorite one.

The Internet As It Was In 1996

“Transferred from a VHS video tape, this 1996 video shows how to use a PC and how to use the PC to access the new ‘world wide web.'”

Ugh. It’s long, so you’d be forgiven for skimming it. Some cringe-worthy performances in here.

Maybe not as good/bad as this video from only one year earlier. Yikes!

Bonus Video!

Finally Alex Jones is Watchable – Info Derps!

How do we make Alex Jones a little funnier to watch? Digitally remove his nose.

I watched this no fewer than three times.

In fact I’m watching it right now. 😀

Have a splendid weekend everybody.

See you next week.
