Friday. At last!

Ahhhhh [kicks feet up, relaxes]

Videos! Let’s go!

“INAUGURATION DAY” — A Bad Lip Reading of Donald Trump’s Inauguration

“I make grease pellets in my sweat” is possibly not that far from how these people actually speak.

I know you have all probably seen it, but really everybody should. 🙂

Gathering Paradise: Bill Murray Reads to Construction Workers at Poets House

“Members of the construction team which built Poets House’s new home joined actor Bill Murray in May 2009 for the first poetry reading at 10 River Terrace.”

Sent in by Ashy T.

Poignant. I love Bill Murray. He’s a force of nature.

How Did Sony Start?

This was essentially a corporate orientation video but it’s made a little cooler in this presentation. Nicely done.

How to be a Human !!!

This is “animation dancee” Marquese “Non-Stop” Scott.

I love this guy’s work. So amazing to watch. A Master.

The track is “I Am You” by Haywyre. Also pretty damn good.

Bonus Video!

Outkast’s ‘Hey Ya’ but everytime they say ‘Uh’ or ‘Alright’ it gets faster

Continuing this… thing. Which has gone a little out of control. There are so many videos in this weird genre. I like some of them. This is one.

Happy Friday everybody! Have a great weekend.

Welcome to Friday! It’s the second-last Friday in January. 🙂

That was fast.

Here we go…

Life accordion to Donald Trump

uh… okay!

At least it’s funny. (Today of all days.)

Object Masking – The Wolf of Wall Street

“A program removing everything but the objects it recognises when watching the trailer for The Wolf of Wall Street”

This is, effectively, a computer “watching” a movie trailer, and identifying what it sees.

The future is here!

Max Cooper/Tom Hodge – Fragments of Self

“This track and video are about emergence from the combination of polar opposites. Fragments of self from very different places, but part of the same whole. Soft vs jagged, quiet vs loud, beautiful vs horrible, smooth vs abrasive, natural vs unnatural….you get the idea.”

This is part of a larger art collection named “Emergence” from these two visual artists. All of them are great. This is just my favorite one.

The Internet As It Was In 1996

“Transferred from a VHS video tape, this 1996 video shows how to use a PC and how to use the PC to access the new ‘world wide web.'”

Ugh. It’s long, so you’d be forgiven for skimming it. Some cringe-worthy performances in here.

Maybe not as good/bad as this video from only one year earlier. Yikes!

Bonus Video!

Finally Alex Jones is Watchable – Info Derps!

How do we make Alex Jones a little funnier to watch? Digitally remove his nose.

I watched this no fewer than three times.

In fact I’m watching it right now. 😀

Have a splendid weekend everybody.

See you next week.

Welcome back to Friday!

We made it!

And yes, it’s the 13th. But so what! Right?

Here we go. Video time!

Madeline the Robot Tamer & Mimus

“Mimus is a giant industrial robot that’s curious about the world around her. Mimus sees the world differently than us – she uses sensors embedded in the ceiling above to see everyone around her simultaneously. Mimus can react and move quickly around her space to follow your actions and try to decipher your body language.”

A fascinating video. I like it!

Arrival – Making Of – Oblique FX

Oblique FX‘s VFX reel for this amazing film. (Seriously, if you haven’t seen it, it’s recommended.)

Arborio, where the rice was born.

“Arborio is a little village outside of Milan, approximately 60 km. The best ‘arborio and Carnaroli rice is produced in this village of 500 souls. Enjoy this ‘corto’ about Arborio rice and the paniscia, recipe for risotto with nduja (salame cover with lard)”

Mmmmmm risottoooooo… 🙂

Beautiful Reactions

(Chemical reactions, that is.)

I think my favorite is Zn + Pb(NO3)2 -> Pb + Zn(NO3)2

Bonus Video!

We Went Inside A Secret Train Buried Under Grand Central

Note: A BuzzFeed video.

I’m a little late to this (Aug. 2016) but it’s pretty interesting!

And there we go! Videos! For your Friday the 13th!

Have a lovely weekend everybody.

Heyyyy look! It’s 2017!

And it is also Friday (of course.)

And! I have some videos. Huzzah!

Happy New Year from the Gab707 family!

There’s unfortunately not much detail about where this is, or how it was shot. Gab707 is an avid drone photographer and has several other very well made mountain-ascending videos. (Like this one, for example.)

It’s making the rounds and it is magnificent.

The Synchronization of 100 Metronomes

“It is known that when multiple metronomes are placed on a moving table and the metronome is moved, all metronomes eventually synchronize and carve the sound at the same timing.”

This is mesmerizing… and kind of freaky!

Knitting Noodles

Specifically ramen noodles.

Looks difficult…

China From Above

“China is a vast country with a seemingly endless variety of landscapes. From the modern skylines of Shanghai and Hong Kong to the ancient city walls of Xi’an, the former capital of the ‘Middle Kingdom’. Imposing rice terraces contrast with stark desert scenery, massive coal factories rub shoulders with newly built cities.”

Bonus Video!

Amazon Go: Just Steal Stuff – RT Shorts

Revolutionary! 😉

And there we go. Videos! Done!

I will see you in 7 days.
