September 2nd, 2016

Welcome to your Friday Videos, the first Friday in September.

But it’s still Summer people! (in the northern hemisphere…)

Videos! Right!

KENZO WORLD – Director’s cut

This is an absolutely looneytunes dance number. I won’t spoil the ending but it’s surprising what this was made for. Some amazing choreography. Manic!

Suggested by Amanda C. Well done.

“Remember Those Great Volkswagen Ads?”

“The story of the charming, honest ad campaign DDB created for VW… universally acknowledged to be the greatest and most influential of all time.”

A great little documentary about a pretty groundbreaking series of ads. You may have seen this referenced in Mad Men, and for good reason. Fun fact: one of the leads on these campaigns, the late Julian Koenig, is the father of the “Serial” podcast’s Sarah Koenig.

Journey “Separate Ways” Music Video Remake

So first we had Bad Lip Reading, then shreds, then musicless music videos, and now we have video remakes. Awesome! (Although it’s unclear if this is a thing or not.)

This must have taken some effort – especially finding the shirts.

ハムマリオ( HAMUMARIO)Super Mario Bros.

a.k.a.: A hamster tackles a real-world replication of the first level of Super Mario Bros. (Spoiler alert: no problem!)

Delightful!

Bonus Video!

Jet Ponies

[self… explanatory…?]

Yikes! This is a thing!

So there we are. Videos! On a Friday! Together at last! 🙂

See you in seven days, everybody.
