Here it is Friday again and whaddya got?
Hopefully your day isn’t turning out like this guy’s…
Okay! Video time. 🙂
You can move the camera with your mouse or the WASD keys. May require the Chrome web browser (but it’s YouTube so, possibly not.)
The Porthole is an “Anamorphic pavilion” created by TOMA Architects.
Hat tip to arq4design for this. So great.
“A film created by Carl Schlesinger and David Loeb Weiss documenting the last day of hot metal typesetting at The New York Times. This film shows the entire newspaper production process from hot-metal typesetting to creating stereo moulds to high-speed press operation. At the end of the film, the new typesetting and photographic production process is shown in contrast to the old ways.”
1978 was 37 years ago. 🙂
I love this series, as you can probably already tell. Not all of them are excellent, but when they are done well: holy cow they make me laugh.
And there we are! Friday. All wrapped up.
See you all next week. Have a great weekend.
