Happy Friday. Happy September. Happy 3pm EDT.
It is Friday Video time! This week turned out to feature a few interesting creators of things, some of which happens to be robots. This was not planned.
This is a moving short documentary about a canoe builder from Gull Lake Boat Works who builds his canoes completely by hand. Really well done.
» Kubrick // One-Point Perspective
[somewhat self explanatory]
Showing how frequently Kubrick employed this particular perspective throughout his films.
» The Birth Of A Tool. Part I. Axe Making (by John Neeman)
“This is a short documentary movie that shows the whole process of how the John Neeman tools are being hand crafted.”
Featuring one of my favorite songs, “Holocene” by Bon Iver.
Really amazing.
» Noah takes a photo of himself every day for 12.5 years
[self explanatory]
Sent in by Cassie P. and definitely making the rounds.
Bonus Video:
» Robot chefs taking over China’s noodle bars
“A Chinese restaurateur in Beijing has invented a robot chef to make sliced noodles. The robotic noodle expert is taking China’s noodle bars by storm.”
I for one welcome our Chinese noodle robot overlords…
I hope your Friday is yet another in a long line of excellent Fridays.
See you next week.
