It is Friday again!
Here’s some viewing for Friday or the weekend (yes: weekends are allowed.)
This is an impressive, very carefully coreographed single-take shot of Venice Beach, California, shot by an independent cameraman using a remote control quad-rotor helicoptor.
Music is by Brian Eno from the album “Apollo”.
“In celebration of the greatest athletic achievement by a man on a psychedelic journey, No Mas and artist James Blagden proudly present the animated tale of Dock Ellis’ legendary LSD no-hitter”
This is a great little animated segment of history, synced to dialogue from Ellis himself. Well done.
[Context: Dock Ellis played a no-hitter on June 12th, 1970 while extremely high on acid.]
A short film by Chris Abbas (set to music by Nine Inch Nails) is a constructed time-lapse of Saturn and its moons covering several months of NASA’s Cassini mission to the ringed planet. It’s beautiful.
[self explanatory, sssssort of…]
Performed by Peter Serafinowicz. Funny (or die!)
He has also made several “Actor’s Studio” videos that are quite good.
Sent in by Tara P.
Bonus Video:
a.k.a.: numerous views of a skateboarder. Seasickness may ensue.
Enjoy the rest of your Friday. Enjoy your weekend.
